Below you will be able to find out more about our Senior Management Team and what makes them the ideal people to lead EMS forward.

 

Richard Brown BSc (Hons) - Managing Director
Richard started his career within the UK Finance and Banking Industry having graduated with a BSc in Business and Languages from The University of Hull. He has remained working in accounting and finance for over 7 years and more recently in fraud investigation and prevention. Richard qualified as a technician within the North of England in 2007 and still ensures regular clinical contact is made with both patients, staff and clients. Richard leads EMS from the front as the Managing Director and is responsible for all financial and strategic decisions within the company.

 

Dr Andrew Threadgold - Medical Director
Andrew was originally trained at Barts Hospital in London, where he then undertook his surgical training in the north east before becoming an A&E middle grade doctor. Andrew then followed his career into general practice in Darlington and has now become a partner in a practice in Redcar. Andrew has been heavily involved in the events industry for many years where he was the personal Doctor for several 'stars' including Madonna, Aerosmith, Stereophonic's and the Red Hot Chilli's to name but a few. He has also been the lead Doctor in several music events for Livenation. Andrew is very much "hands on" with EMS and is responsible for the clinical governance of EMS where he oversees the company policies, protocols and compliances with all aspects of clinical practice. Andrew is involved with training and development of all medical staff, he also acts as a clinical lead at large scale events and oversees the companies clinical development in conjunction with the Nursing Directors and Senior Management Team.

 

Eleanor Liversidge RSCN - Nursing Director
Eleanor was trained in Leicester and went onto work at Birmingham Children's Hospital where she worked in Paediatric Intensive Care gaining significant experience in the treatment and management of critically ill children. She then relocated to the East of England and took a post in the Accident & Emergency Department of Addenbrookes Hospital Foundation NHS Trust where she continued her clinical skills. Eleanor then migrated from Paediatric A&E to Paediatric Services and High Dependency which has become her specialist field of nursing. With Eleanor's vast experience within A&E and Children's Services she is EMS's lead specialist nurse for Paediatrics and regularly undertakes transfers of sick children. She is responsible for all Paediatric Training within EMS and is the companies nominated Child Protection Officer.

 

Tom Woollard RNA - Deputy Nursing Director
Tom has worked within the NHS for a number of years and is a Senior Staff Nurse specialising in Coronary Care. He currently works in CCU at a busy District General Hospital in the East of England. Tom has just completed a Maters Degree in Cardiology, as well as being a mentor to a variety of nursing and paramedic students. Tom has worked in both the UK and more recently in Australia in CCU and Cardiac HDU. He is a qualified cardiac transfer nurse, and uses his skills and knowledge to train and educate all EMS's ambulance crews in specialist areas such as advanced cardiac life support, cardiac capture & pacing, infusion pump operation and drug protocols as well as regularly holding CPD study days in Cardiology. Tom regularly operates alongside the companies ambulance crews on cardiac transfers both local and long distance.

 

Tobi Halbinger - Clinical Lead, Emergency Care
Tobi is an experienced HPC Registered Paramedic that trained with the East of England Ambulance Service where he has worked for the last 5-years. His experience gained whilst working for the Trust on front line emergency duties have been vast and varied, including being a mentor and supervisor to junior clinicians and student paramedics. Tobi holds the post of Clinical Lead for Emergency Care and works closely with the Senior Managers to develop further the companies clinical standards and service levels across all our disciplines.

 

Julian Searle - Senior Operations Manager (Remote Medicine Division)
Julian is an experienced IHCD Technician who has worked for both the UK NHS ambulance service, and armed forces. Julian is also an experienced and qualified HSE Off-Shore Medic and now leads the companies remote medicine branch. Julian's experience in both combat medical, close protection and the armed forces has seen him work worldwide. With his vast knowledge of at height rescue, confined spaces rescue alongside his remote medical training this places him in a unique position to be able to run the companies overseas medical support branch. Julian holds a current Home Office Firearms licence, and has over 10 years experience of TV and Film Set Medical Support. He has worked worldwide for some of the leading UK and USA blockbuster movie producers and therefore takes the lead with all our onsite medical provisions for our own TV and Film clients.

 

Patrick Spry - Operations Manager (Remote Medicine Division)
Patrick started his career with East Midlands Ambulance Service in 2000 where he qualified as an IHCD Technician. Since then he has continued to develop his Instructor and Training Credentials, attaining certification as both a Trainer & Assessor for the IHCD Technician and FPOS-I Courses as well as the HSE FAW/AED Courses. Patrick recently completed his HSE Offshore Medics Course and now supports Julian Searle with the running of the companies remote medicine division.
