Our Services

NEPTS - Non Emergency Patient Transfer Service:

EMS NEPTS Division has been designed to meet the needs of the stable patient who requires very little clinical intervention. Many people are unable to travel on conventional public transport, or drive themselves to appointments. For these people NEPTS may be the only means they have to attend hospital and clinic appointments to receive the follow up or regular care they require.

We strongly believe that providing patient transport requires more than just collecting and delivering the patient from one location to another. Confidentiality, the patients care, safety and dignity are as significant as the provision of vehicles and the cost effectiveness of the services offered.

At East Anglia EMS, we have the expertise to undertake these tasks. Whether a routine outpatient appointment, transfer home after treatment, or a last minute appointment our staff will do everything they can to ensure that the patient receives the highest standard of care and attention possible from start to finish. An integral part of East Anglia EMS services is the ability to offer a variety of Patient Transport Options to Private and NHS individuals, these include:

·         Car Service for more able bodied patients

·         Non-Emergency Ambulance for stable, stretcher patients

·         High Dependency Units for those requiring extra care

·         Emergency Frontline Ambulances for Urgent Journeys

At EMS we believe that we have the balance between cost and efficiency just right. We offer a complete breakdown of our transport times and where the request is made for a long distance journey or our crews to wait with the patient this is calculated into the costs so you never have any unexpected “extras” added on.

EUC - Emergency & Urgent Care Division:

The Emergency & Urgent Care Division (EUC) is one of our most versatile services of EMS. All of the qualified personnel within our EUC Division have gained a vast amount of experience within the pre-hospital emergency field prior to becoming part of our team. We offer all of our clients a varied skill mix of staff, depending upon the individual and clinical requirements of both the patient and client. Our staff base consists of HPC registered Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians and IHCD trained Emergency Care Assistants.

EMS currently supports several NHS Trusts with Emergency & Urgent Care Transport including the daily movement of Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care &  Cardiac Critical Care patients.

Our operational fleet of vehicles consists of Emergency Frontline Ambulances, which are double crewed with either EMT or Paramedic Crews. Emergency 4x4 Vehicles and Rapid Response Vehicles (RRV’s) can be solo crewed by either EMT’s or Paramedics. The vehicles are built to current CEN & European guidelines, fully equipped to NHS A&E standards including a full complement of JRCALC medicines. Our Paramedics also have their own issue of Schedule 2 Medicines as afforded to them under the Group Authority License issued by the Home Office under the `Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001’.

Our EUC Division will respond to any request for journeys requiring the skills of a qualified ambulance crew from both NHS & Private Clients. We will also respond to any requests for journeys that currently fall outside of any contracts for the Provision of Ambulances or Patient Transport Services. Our response time to requests is usually less than one hour.

Air Ambulance & Medical Repatriation Service:

EMS have been organising medical repatriations of clients for over 10 years, on behalf of insurance companies, corporate companies, military personnel and private non insured patients. EMS recognises that the skills and experience involved do not just simply mean placing a patient on a plane, which is why we have dedicated 24 hour Repatriation Coordinators who are specifically trained to asses all the needs of the patient prior to suggesting the most appropriate course of action. Several of EMS staff are Air Ambulance Paramedics, Nurses and Doctors, all of whom are fully trained in aviation medicine and procedures and supported by our Medical Director.

Our contractual partnership with Air Medical Ltd allows EMS immediate access to over 12 fixed wing aircraft, ranging from smaller light aircraft to long range jets capable of safely transporting patients who require minimal intervention through to those that require a full medical team escort. Based out of Kidlington, Oxford AirMed have been a preferred partner of EMS for several years, and because of this relationship EMS has agreed "Preferential Rates" for Air Ambulance Services which we are confident is the best available on the market.

EMS and AirMed have successfully repatriated patients from the UK, Europe, Middle East and further afield. It is this unique partnership that allows both Air and Land Ambulance services to be integrated into one complete solution. One call to EMS and we are able to arrange medical clearances, flights, escorts and land transfers both in the UK and overseas in as little time as 60 minutes from receiving the call. It is this commitment to service that has produced many satisfied patients and clients over and over again.

Event Medical Cover:

As the client your objective is to run an event which is enjoyed by all who attend it, and which is remembered for all the right reasons. Safety is always paramount and the ever present risk of accident or sudden illness which can affect staff or visitors must always be taken into consideration.  Naturally you want to ensure that you have medical cover in place to deal with such problems calmly and professionally with minimal disruption to your event. There are guidelines in place issued by the Health & Safety Executive as to the legal responsibilities of the organisor to appoint an experienced and competent provider of medical services to deal with any untoward incident that may arise as a result of a planned event.

Our dedicated management team can provide you with the right solution to all your medical requirements. We tailor our service to the specific needs of your event, leaving you secure in the knowledge that, should the need for medical assistance be required, our highly trained team will come to the aid of your staff or visitors. We believe that provision of quality medical care demonstrates our commitment to our clients, staff and visitors. At EMS we provide you with the complete package of medical cover, right through from the planning stage to post-event reporting. Our onsite Medical Managers are all trained and certified to Gold & Silver Command Level (Major Incident Command & Control) with the NHS Ambulance Service, again showing a high level of competence and experiance at large scale events.

We can provide all your medical requirements, from a single First Aider to a full field treatment unit as well as front line, 4x4 and rapid response ambulances.  EMS are approved by British Eventing (BE) for Equestrian Events, by the ACU for Moto Cross and Sports/Drag Racing. We have worked with British Cycling on World Championship, National and Regional Cycling Events, as well as Cross Country and Downhill MTB. We have covered Paragliding Championships in East Anglia, through to full contact Cage Fighting in the North. EMS therefore has gained extensive experience in covering a large variety of events. With varying facilities from location to location EMS can adapt to their surroundings with ease.
