EMS are an Independent Ambulance Service based in
the heart of Suffolk in the East of England. The company was established in
April 2000, and has been a family managed business from its inception. Over the
last 10 years we have grown in size and continued to go from strength to
strength. With fully operational, permanent bases in both the East of England,
and the North East of England we offer a true UK Wide Service. EMS has extensive
experience of providing highly qualified medical professionals to both Private,
NHS and Event clients, transporting patients both nationally and
internationally. Despite our growth & success, the company still retains that
personal touch and pride in our work, an ethos that is shared by management and
echoed by our employees. EMS Ambulance
Services staff are trained medical professionals who hold more than just a First
Aid Certificate. The reality is that the majority of the staff who work for the
company are IHCD Emergency Medical Technicians, HPC Paramedics, Emergency Care
Practitioners and Registered Nurses. These staff also currently work within the
NHS Ambulance Service, Acute NHS Trusts and are extensively trained in the
Pre-Hospital Care Field. Our Frontline Ambulance Staff come to us with at least
2 years post qualification emergency experience, where their day jobs have been
working on the streets of East Anglia, London and the Midlands providing the
highest level of emergency medical skills to the public when they need it most.
Our Nursing staff are all NMC Registered, and have specialist skills in areas
such as Cardiology, A&E, Theatres and Paediatric Intensive Care. These
specialist staff frequently work alongside our team of road crews on a regular
basis.
EMS currently supports several Acute & Foundation
NHS Trusts with it's patient transport requirements ranging from Non-Emergency
Patient Transport, High Dependency Transfers and Emergency Transport Solutions.
We are an approved provider to a vast range of Private Clinics and Hospitals in
the UK, in addition to several Local Authorities and Social Services. EMS are
also a Premier Provider to a number of UK and USA Insurance Companies who deal
with Worldwide Medical Repatriations.
The company is committed to all our customers and
we aim to provide the highest level of service to everyone who comes into
contact with our staff. It is with this high service level that we therefore
take the qualifications and training of our staff seriously across the company.
To this end, EMS will only employ staff from which their training has been
provided by recognised bodies such as the IHCD, UK Universities and Health &
Safety Executive. For those staff who are required to be registered to practice
their profession, evidence must therefore be seen of HPC, NMC and GMC
registration where appropriate. CPD portfolios may also be requested to ensure
that these staff are fit to practice and their skills are current. Regular
internal and external training is maintained by all staff, and courses are
chosen and administered by the companies Medical Director and supported by the
Nursing Directors and Senior Management Team.
EMS is a commercial company, and therefore we do
not use or employ the services of volunteers, or staff who's experience comes
from working for the voluntary sector. Therefore the training, experience and
skills of our staff will invariably increase the costs compared to those of the
voluntary organisations. However, where EMS is different from other companies is
